The American Red Cross is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the hit sitcom, “Friends.” According to the American Red Cross, donors who give blood, platelets, or plasma from Nov. 18 through Dec. 8 will receive two pairs of custom FRIENDS and American Red Cross socks.

The American Red Cross partnered with several organizations to host a metro-wide blood drive to donate to people with sickle cell disease. It was a community effort involving the National Pan Hellenic Society, Jackson Public Schools, Mississippi Sickle Cell Association, and several others.

It’s been 30 years since the iconic show “Friends” first aired, and this November, the American Red Cross is asking donors to gather their friends and be there for patients by making a blood donation.
