The man at the visitor's center who gave the introduction & the Palmer House was Fabulous. Make sure you talk to him. He has incredible knowledge of history & is extremely interesting to listen to. Full review by Lamarr K

The closest Amtrak stations are in Rocky Mount and Wilson, both are about an hour and a half drive away from Bath (I believe Rocky Mount is the easier drive). There is the Bath Motel and Marina and the Inn on Bath Creek (a B&B) in the town of Bath. There are two restaurants in town and a waterside grill. Both Belhaven and Washington are about 15 miles from Bath and take about 15-20 minutes to drive to. Both towns have several B&B's and Washington has several hotels (Hampton Inn comes to mind).
